Obsidian Rhythm begins in Southside Richmond, not in a mood board. Route One, wet pavement, night drives and the friction of a city in motion give the project its physical gravity. The larger mythology grows from there, but the concrete comes first.
The sound combines aggressive lyrical hip-hop with dark imperial trap: sub-heavy drums, negative space, cinematic synth architecture and a deep vocal delivery that can stay conversational for a full thought, then accelerate into dense multisyllabic passages when the pressure demands it.
